Octopus Arts Shropshire are committed to enabling people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the benefits of creative arts, including improved well-being, increased confidence, pride in achievements and greater social inclusion through participation in fun, engaging and challenging arts projects.
Outstanding artwork enhancing the local community and environment has been produced in collaboration with many organisations and groups such as Connexions for Youth, play teams, nurseries, health services, people with disabilities and mental health conditions, young people at risk, carers, older people's forums and youth clubs.
We frequently provide drop-in workshops for local authority and town council run community events and have provided processional props, lanterns, masks and headwear for carnivals, festivals and fun days. We offer workshops in many art forms; murals, mosaic, willow sculpture, textiles, collage, print-making, painting and drawing. Just ask us!
All Octopus Arts practitioners have enhanced DBS certificates and public liability insurance of £5,000,000. We are also qualified Arts Awards assessors in Bronze, Silver, Gold and Discover & Explore.
