We are very experienced in delivering targeted one to one and small group projects focusing upon the therapeutic benefits of being creative. Our sessions are specifically aimed at raising aspirations, increasing confidence, improving engagement and promoting positive attitudes.
Through Telford & Wrekin Council's Arts and Culture team we had the opportunity to deliver creative partnerships between Artists and Learning Mentors in Telford Schools from 2005-2012.
The programme offered young people a chance to see a brighter future for themselves through planned early intervention and it supported many groups to feel positive about themselves and their peers. We encouraged the final outcomes to be celebrated within school, inviting their families to share in their child's achievements.
We are able to offer similar projects to schools working with a suggested maximum group of eight pupils over a 6-8 week period.
Suitable for one to one, collaborative small group projects, cross curricular arts, family learning, intergenerational projects, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5.
'Children who previously had remained on the periphery of group activities were engaged. Their confidence and self esteem soared in some of them. The team of artists were excellent and formed amazing bonds with the group very quickly to get the best from them - a very warm and professional team.'
Headteacher, Dawley Primary School
'Caris and Natalie's work with these children has been very beneficial. They always focus upon the individual needs whilst including the group as a whole. They use a range of materials and mediums to encourage the children to express themselves. This can be from basic equipment used within the school setting to working across different schools to develop art work displayed within local companies.'
